"And the day came when the risk it took to remain tightly closed in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to BLOOM…This is the Element of Freedom"

  1. Yeah another Obama fan who happens to believe that this is a wonderful crazy earth changing moment.
    It is so exciting.
I am saddened by Christians who are negative and full of doom and gloom re: his election.
A happy happy evening last night and today.

  2. Elizabeth, thank you for what you said on my blog. I am proud to be an American, a Democrat and yes a Christian. I was called a racist today because of my comment on that blog and it saddens me so much. I don't understand how anybody cannot see this is as a time for rejoicing. Barack Obama is all-inclusive and that gives me so much hope. I believe in him. I truly believe that he has mine and your best interest at heart. The world is celebrating us today. That alone speaks volumes. Take care. Elena

  3. Hi, Elizabeth ... and yes the comments on the Texas block are just plain frightening and made even more so as they are spoken in the name of Christianity. Yikes.

I had to restrain myself to"not" comment again and with something much more biting but I reminded myself that I would likely be wasting my breath (or fingers) and that it's like talking to a wall.

Did you happen to see Oprah last night (her day 2 of election coverage) where she was encouraging all the reds to come together with the blues and to work in co-operation. It made me cry. Obama makes me cry because he is a good and true man. He "is" hope.

    cheers, from Nova Scotia

  4. Thank God(truly) that I am not alone as a woman of faith. I have long questioned the morality of pollution, world starvation, invasion of countries, circus animals, intolerance, and on and on and on. When and how did the religious right fundamentalist evangelicals take over the thinking of those who follow Christ? The hierarchy of white elitist Washingtion has left the country and the world behind in the name of power and greed. I just ask that we all pray for his safety. Thank you for your comment, it was much appreciated. For the first time in my life, I am proud to be an American.

  5. Hey, I thought your blog was done! I am so glad you're still posting.

  6. Hi there! So glad you popped by my blog and want to join in on the book exchange :) Can you drop me an e-mail at cdrysda@hotmail.com so I can send you some more details? Thanks!
